Kris Dorsz

Kris, born in Poland, has made Spain his home for more than 35 years — a journey that has deeply shaped his artistic evolution. Restless and curious since childhood, with an imagination that rarely sat still, his passion for making things began early, learning model-making from an instructor: handcrafted ships, planes, and vehicles.

After moving to Spain, that skill grew into striking ship models and, for a time, architectural scale models. It was in 2005, after relocating to the south of Spain, that his art took a decisive turn — he began experimenting with techniques like paper-mâché, which led him into sculpture and painting, and into interior design and decoration work.

Never content to stand still, Kris kept fusing materials in new ways — wood, glass, stone, and bronze — into sculptures that reflect an ongoing search for new forms of expression. He shares that experience through workshops for young artists in both Spain and Poland, passing the craft on to a new generation.

Over the course of his career, Kris has donated stone sculptures to the Dzików Castle Museum in Tarnobrzeg, Poland, and was chosen, in 2013, 2014, and 2015, to create the Trofeo Taurino 3E — Caseta La Nuestra trophy for the Feria de Algeciras, an honor that speaks to his standing in the cultural scene.

Today, Kris specializes in metal sculpture — designs that surprise with their variety, color, and scale. Each piece is an expression of that restless creativity, a reflection of his passion for transforming the world around him through art.
